Land Use Management

A town-planning scheme is established to regulate the coordinated and harmonious development of the area to which it relates in such a way that it will effectively promote the health, safety, good order, amenity, convenience and general welfare of such area, as well as the efficiency and economy in its process of development. A land use or town-planning scheme is a planning tool that allows or restricts certain types of land use to certain geographic areas.
The City of Tshwane relies on the cooperation of residents to bring non-permitted land uses in terms of the Town-planning Scheme to the attention of the relevant investigating authority.
